Cowley Road Carnival would have been held on Sunday, had the organisers
not cancelled it because
"There is a lot going on in
Oxford this year"
And therefore, "by
taking a break, the community can focus on all of these and we can benefit
from a longer planning period to return in 2013". Perhaps, therefore,
better to leave an even longer planning period...
By the way, Maastricht, Köln, and many other cities manage to hold their carnivals each year. Why can't Oxford?
