If you want to see how all the above sits inside the rest of AI, we have
two popular science books which are a bit oversimplified, but not bad as
surveys. I'd recommend trying these sometime during the course.
Then write one of the following essay questions. As
with production systems, questions on representation have appeared
frequently.

- Describe, using Evans' Analogy Program as an example, why
information-processing systems (natural and artificial) need multiple
representations. How could you extend the program to solve 3-d analogy
problems?

connectionist systems?
